DAY 01

Airport to Negombo

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our friendly English-speaking chauffeur guide. From there, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to settle in. Later in the evening, enjoy a visit to the vibrant Negombo Fish Market followed by a brief Negombo City Tour, offering a glimpse into the town’s coastal charm and colonial history.

Spending the night here offers a perfect introduction—or farewell—to the island’s laid-back coastal lifestyle. Enjoy the evening strolling along the sandy shores, exploring local markets, or simply relaxing at your hotel after a long journey. With its close proximity to the international airport, Negombo is a convenient and peaceful stop for both arrivals and departures.

DAY 02

Negombo to Anuradhapura

After breakfast, begin your journey to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka’s most historically significant cities. Upon arrival, explore the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved ruins of ancient palaces, monasteries, and Buddhist stupas. As the first capital of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura offers a deep insight into the island’s spiritual and cultural roots, with iconic sites like the Sri Maha Bodhi Tree, Ruwanwelisaya, and Jetavanaramaya reflecting the grandeur of its ancient civilization.

The Anuradhapura Kingdom named for its capital city, was the first established kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka and Sinhalese people. Founded by King Pandukabhaya in 377 BC, the kingdom’s authority extended throughout the country, although several independent areas emerged from time to time, which grew more numerous towards the end of the kingdom. Nonetheless, the king of Anuradhapura was seen as the supreme ruler of the country throughout the Anuradhapura period. Buddhism played a strong role in the Anuradhapura period, influencing its culture, laws, and methods of governance. Society and culture were revolutionized when the faith was introduced during the reign of King Devanampiya Tissa; this cultural change was further strengthened by the arrival of the Tooth Relic of the Buddha in Sri Lanka and the patronage extended by her rulers.

 

DAY 03

Anuradhapura to Sigiriya

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sigiriya, with a cultural stop to explore the sacred ruins of the Anuradhapura Ancient City, one of Sri Lanka’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Discover centuries-old stupas, monasteries, and the sacred Bodhi Tree, steeped in spiritual and historical significance.

In the evening, head out on a thrilling 4×4 safari at either Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park, depending on the movement and availability of elephants. These eco-parks are renowned for their rich biodiversity, but it is the elephants that steal the show—especially during the spectacular seasonal gathering at Minneriya, where hundreds of elephants congregate around the reservoir, most notably between September and October.

End the day with a peaceful overnight stay in Sigiriya, surrounded by nature and history.

DAY 04

Sigiriya to Kandy

Earlier morning Sigiriya Rock before sun become rough which is suitable for pictures and climbing to the top and back to hotel for breakfast.

Thereafter drive to Kandy on the way Visit Cave Temple Dambulla, Nalanda Gedige, Matale Spice garden (only for visit) & Hindu temple.

Later Kandy City tour and Evening View the traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).

Cave Temple Dambulla: cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 km east of Colombo and 72 km north of Kandy. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area.

Used worldwide in many medicines, the healing powers of spices have been respected from the time of the Pharaohs and Chinese Dynasties, while our herbs are used in Ayurvedic concoctions.

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

DAY 05

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by misty hills and tranquil beauty.After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens in Kandy—Sri Lanka’s largest and most renowned garden, home to over 4,000 species of plants, including orchids, medicinal herbs, and towering palm avenues.

From there, continue your scenic journey to Nuwara Eliya, famously known as “Little England” for its cool climate and colonial charm. Along the way, stop to admire the breathtaking Ramboda Falls, visit a lush tea plantation, and tour a working tea factory, where you’ll learn about the production process of Ceylon tea from leaf to cup.

Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a brief city tour, taking in the picturesque town’s highlights such as Gregory Lake, colonial architecture, and market areas.

 

DAY 06

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Start the day early with a trek through the stunning Horton Plains National Park, a protected area of cloud forests and grasslands, home to rare flora and fauna. The highlight of the hike is the dramatic World’s End viewpoint, offering breathtaking views that stretch for miles on a clear day.

After your trek, drive to Nanu Oya Railway Station to catch the 12:40 PM train to Ella—widely considered one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. Sit back and enjoy the panoramic views of rolling tea plantations, misty mountains, and picturesque villages as the train winds its way through the highlands.

Upon arrival in Ella, spend the evening hiking up Little Adam’s Peak, a relatively easy trail that rewards you with sweeping views of the Ella Gap and surrounding valleys.

DAY 07

Ella to Yala

After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to Yala, making several memorable stops along the way. Begin with a visit to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge in Ella, a stunning feat of colonial-era engineering surrounded by lush greenery. Continue to the cascading Ravana Falls, one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka, and then explore the lesser-known but historically rich Buduruwagala Rock Temple, where ancient Buddha statues are carved into a towering rock face.

In the evening, embark on an exciting 4×4 jeep safari at Bundala National Park, a haven for birdlife and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its coastal lagoons, migratory birds, and occasional sightings of elephants and crocodiles.

Overnight stay in Tissamaharama, a peaceful town near the southern wildlife parks.

DAY 08

Yala

Spend the entire day immersed in nature with a thrilling full-day 4×4 jeep safari at Yala National Park. As one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife reserves, Yala offers the chance to witness a diverse array of animals, including leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and countless bird species. Traverse the park’s varied landscapes, from dense jungles to open plains, while exploring its rich ecosystem. This safari provides an unforgettable experience, bringing you up close to the island’s natural wonders.

DAY 09

Yala to Mirissa

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Mirissa, a beautiful coastal town known for its tranquil beaches and vibrant atmosphere. Upon arrival, spend the evening at your beach resort, enjoying some well-deserved leisure time by the ocean. Relax on the golden sands, take a dip in the clear waters, or simply unwind as you watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 10

Mirissa

Start the day early with a 6:30 AM whale watching tour, where you’ll have the opportunity to see majestic blue whales and playful dolphins in their natural habitat. The gentle morning sea breeze and the thrill of spotting these magnificent creatures create an unforgettable start to the day. After the tour, return to the hotel to relax and refresh. Spend the rest of the day at your beach resort, enjoying some leisure time by the ocean, whether it’s unwinding on the beach or indulging in the resort’s amenities. As the sun sets, take a peaceful walk along the shoreline, soaking in the serene coastal atmosphere.

Day 11

Mirissa to Bentota

After breakfast, begin your journey to Bentota, with a visit to the historic Galle Fort. Located in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast, this fort was originally built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onward. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Galle Fort stands as a testament to the island’s colonial past, showcasing remarkable historical, archaeological, and architectural significance. Despite being over 400 years old, the fort remains well-preserved, thanks to extensive restoration work by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

After exploring the fort, continue your journey with visits to the Moonstone Mine and the Turtle Hatchery, where you’ll learn about Sri Lanka’s unique gemstone industry and conservation efforts for endangered sea turtles. Later, enjoy a tranquil Madu River safari, where you can cruise through mangrove forests and spot various wildlife along the river’s serene waters.

Enjoy a unique fish therapy during your Madu River safari, where small fish gently clean your feet by removing dead skin. It’s a natural, relaxing experience set in a peaceful mangrove environment—perfect for a quick refresh on your journey.

Day 12

Bentota to Airport

Afterward, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home, carrying with you the warmth of Sri Lanka’s culture and natural beauty.
